Anne is a fashion illustrator and abstract painter working with all kinds of media to create beautiful images. While she does still sketch using paper and pen, she has recently started drawing directly on the iPad to create digital illustrations. Most recently, Anne has started painting again, focusing on developing an abstract style both devoted to color and inspired by movement.

The idea behind THE FASHION FIEND began as a blog after Anne returned from a recent sabbatical in France. The concept of illustrating French fashion vocabulary led to The Fashion Fiend's Illustrated French Dictionary. Later, inspired by a girl carrying an umbrella - un parapluie - in New York City's garment district, she started her company STUDIO PARAPLUIE to focus on her fashion illustration, posting sketches on Instagram (@annesanger_studioparapluie).

Anne found her way to abstract painting, combining use of acrylics and pastels or oil paint and pigment sticks... the more mess, the better! Anne's paintings have been featured in several recent group shows, including:

Drawing Galaxy at Dog House Gallery, Saugerties NY – Sept 2016

Petit at Emerge Gallery, Saugerties NY – November 2016

Petit II at Emerge Gallery, Saugerties NY – January 2017

Anne divides her time between Brooklyn and Upstate New York.
